STUDENT VISAS
There are four basic requirements which must be satisfied for the Home Office to agree to the issue of a student visa. The applicant must show that:
1. He/she has been accepted on a course 2. He/she is involved in full time studies 3. He/she has adequate financial support 4. He/she intends to leave the UK on completion of the course
In certain cases the applicant must apply from abroad to enter the UK as a student. We will advise on the best procedure for seeking entry to the UK in this category.
We also advise on:
1. Applying for extensions of stay as a student 2. Eligibility for home student fees 3. Applications for trainee or work experience permits 4. The possibilities for part-time work as a student
It may be possible for students to switch their visa status to a Work Permit or to participate in the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme in order to seek full time employment or start their own business in the UK.
